Why Choose Invisalign®?
Would you love to straighten your teeth but are not interested in wearing traditional metal braces? You are in luck! Over the years, Invisalign® has become a popular treatment option for patients who are looking to straighten their teeth in a more discreet way. If you are unfamiliar, Invisalign is an orthodontic system that straightens the teeth without the use of wires or metal brackets. This system uses a series of custom-fit, clear aligner trays that slowly transition your teeth into the desired placement. We are able to provide this treatment for patients in our office.
Two Benefits of Invisalign®
Many adult patients are often hesitant to learn more about receiving orthodontic treatment as adults because they are most familiar with metal braces. Invisalign provides many benefits to our patients, making this treatment quite popular.
Invisalign is loved by many of our adult patients because they are able to straighten their teeth with very few restrictions. With traditional braces, it can be difficult to eat certain foods, and many foods are off limits, especially sticky foods. Invisalign trays are removable, allowing patients to continue to enjoy their favorite foods and beverages. Patients also appreciate the ability to clean their teeth as normal. It can be difficult to brush and floss when wearing traditional metal braces. Invisalign trays need to be removed before cleaning your teeth. We want to note that it is important to keep your trays clean and free from harmful bacteria.
One feature that patients appreciate about Invisalign is the ability to change their trays at home. Each set of trays is worn for approximately two weeks until they are switched out for the next set in the series. Thanks to 3D computer technology, the series of transitions needed to complete your smile transformation are available before treatment is started. This limits the number of visits needed in our office, saving time for those with busy schedules.
