Kristy joined the Northridge Dental Group team in 1974. She is a nationally-certified dental assistant and holds a state license as a registered dental assistant in extended functions. She began working as a chairside assistant right out of dental assisting school and has been here ever since. Her role at Northridge Dental Group has evolved over the years, and she is currently NDG’s patient coordinator. Kristy has always been interested in developing her role as a dental assistant. Besides teaching dental assisting classes on the weekends for 25 years, she is a past president of the American Dental Assistants Association, the California Dental Assistants Association, and the San Fernando Valley Dental Assistants Society.
Teresa Rubio has been at Northridge Dental Group for over 10 years. She works with the front and back-office staff, overseeing the practice’s daily schedule and operations, supporting patient care for the dentists and dental hygienists, coordinating patient assignment, tracking, facilitating patient appointments, ensuring that billing is correct, checking insurance, treatment plans, and much more.
Sail Fernandez is a registered dental assistant. He documents the patient’s dental history and updates their overall health and medication history. His duties include preparing patients for dental work, sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, assisting with dental procedures, assisting dental hygienists with procedures, recording treatment information in patient records, taking dental X-rays, making dental impressions and ordering dental supplies.
Kassandra is a dental assistant who completed her schooling in 2017. She helps with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures. She also assists dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies. Kassandra helps dental hygienists with procedures. She provides great patient care and records treatment information in patient records. She looks over dental X-rays from dental diagnostics and helps to maintain the dental X-ray equipment.

Ryan documents patient dental histories and updates overall health and medication histories. His duties include preparing patients for dental work, sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, assisting with dental procedures, assisting dental hygienists with procedures, recording treatment information in patient records, taking dental X-rays, making dental impressions, and ordering dental supplies.

Roxana’s responsibilities include patient care, scheduling, and bill processing for TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of San Fernando Valley.
Courtney handles calls from patients and calls them when appropriate. She also writes to them when necessary and sends out reminders when they need to be seen for routine check-ups or further dental treatment. Using a computerized system to book and reschedule appointments, Courtney works on NDG patient treatment needs whether it’s preventive, restorative, hygiene, or everything else in-between. She is most likely your first point of contact when entering the Northridge Dental Group office.
