Did we recommend a dental crown during your last visit, but you have put off scheduling your appointment? We understand that we are in the middle of the holiday session, a hectic time for everyone. Delaying a necessary dental treatment, like a crown, can lead to serious complications with your oral health. Read on to learn more about this common treatment.
At Northridge Dental Group, we are passionate about our patients’ oral and overall health. You may be surprised to learn that your overall health has a direct effect on your oral health. This is one of the reasons we regularly ask about any changes to your medical history during each visit to our office. Patients are surprised to learn that many medications, prescription and over-the-counter alike, can cause lasting problems with your teeth and mouth that can affect their oral health for years to come. We want to share some of the common side effects and tips to help your oral health:
Are you due for a visit to our office for a hygiene examination or recommended treatment and have avoided scheduling your appointment due to nervous feelings? Millions of Americans experience some form of dental anxiety. However, you should not allow your feelings to keep you from getting the dental treatment you need. Allowing nerves to get in the way of needed dental care can result in added treatments and longer procedures. If dental anxiety is a concern for you or a loved one, we offer a solution to help you get the care you need.
At Northridge Dental Group, we are passionate about helping our patients restore and improve their oral health. We know it can be difficult to overcome the feelings that many people experience when it comes to their oral health. Some patients who struggle with their teeth and mouth find it easier to avoid the problem and deal with the consequences. This can lead to years of discomfort and difficulty eating and smiling. We are here to help our patients, who may feel that all hope is lost when it comes to their oral health. With advancements in treatments and technology, we can improve any problem with your oral health.
At Northridge Dental Group, we do all we can to save your natural teeth. One treatment in particular can help us achieve this goal — root canal therapy. Many patients have heard of a root canal and have a bad impression without ever having received treatment. If you are unfamiliar, a root canal is the process of removing infected nerve tissue from the inside of the tooth. The root is then cleaned, disinfected, filled, and sealed. If a root canal is not performed when needed, the last resort is to extract the tooth to remove the infection.
At Northridge Dental Group, we provide dental care with you in mind. We are happy to provide everything for our patients under one roof. We have the expertise and technology to do it right in the office. We value your health and will do anything we can to make you feel welcome and comfortable while you’re with us. We recently had the opportunity to sit down with some of our patients to hear their thoughts and receive feedback about the practice.
